Fishing Maps for Langs Beach

Definitely NOT suitable for Bottom Longlines.

Rocky outcrops and snags require that only dropper rigs be used here and even they should be modified to fish floating baits or lures.

Ledger rigs with floating baits work very well here.

Baits on floating bead traces are ideal for this area, find out more about our floating bead traces here.

When using your dropper rigs in this area be sure to only set the gear to where you can keep the mainline supported clear of the water.

A second kite (flown on a second kiteline) attached to the mainline around 400 metres back from the first is a good idea in light to moderate winds.

This second kite will help support the mainline and enable you to safely set your gear further offshore without risking it sagging into the water and becoming fouled.
