New Zealand Kite Fishing Club

Note : The kitefishing club is currently in recess

Club Night is held on the first Tuesday of every month at the Manukau Cruising Club

The club is situated in Orpheus Drive, Onehunga.

The meetings start at at 7:30 PM.

Usually there is an invited Guest Speaker.

The Club holds a Fishing Day on the Sunday following the meeting with the location advertised on the Newstalk ZB cancellation service and public kite fishing demonstrations are held throughout the year.
The Kite Fishing club of NZ Inc is a Group of keen Kite fishers
  • Promoting the interests of Recreational Fishers

  • The promotion of Beach Etiquette
  • Water Safety
  • Conservation
  • Fun Fishing competitions
  • Social activities

A monthly Newsletter keeps everyone in touch. Visitors are always welcome at the meetings, fishing days or demonstration days.

Technical Advisor

Paul Barnes is the Club's Technical Advisor and is able to give the Club the benefit of his experience advising on Knot Tying, Trouble Shooting with Kites, Where and When to fish and what baits to use. Paul is a regular speaker at Club Nights.
